Alfa Romeo 1600 Twin-Plug Engine

This 1.6-liter Alfa Romeo inline-four has been prepared for vintage racing and is equipped with a twin-plug cylinder head, Marelli 8D distributor, GTA-style exhaust manifold, cast-magnesium Autodelta components, and Weber 40DCOE carburetors. The engine block originated in a Giulia Sprint GT and was rebuilt in 2017 with high-compression pistons, new timing chains, custom connecting rods, and replacement bearings and seals. Additional work included refurbishing the twin-cam cylinder head and balancing the rotating assembly. The engine was then installed in a GTA and ran for a few race events before being removed.
