This complete super clean BMW 2.3-liter S14 inline-four engine is removed from my US-specification 1988 E30 M3. Work performed in 2018 by Motor Works of National City, California, included polishing the crankshaft, honing the main bearing saddles, reconditioning the connecting rods, repairing the oil pan, and replacing the timing chain and guide along with the oil pump chain, main bearings, connecting rod bearings, and piston rings. A throttle body assembly has been installed, and additional components accompanying the long block include an intake plenum, an air cleaner housing, a Bosch Motronic control module, a wiring harness, engine mount brackets, and a Mishimoto radiator.
